I have a 1986 Catalina 34 and am thinking of switching to a Rocna 33 anchor. Would like to speak to someone who has already done so.. about size on the bow, fit, and roller size. Thanks.

Look at Rocna, Manson Supreme, Mantus and Spade. You can get the shank dimensions from their websites. Make cardboard mock ups of shanks and see what fits your bow best. Someone may have chosen a Rocna before there were all the options. That happen to me with the Manson Supreme. We love our anchor but looking at the Mantus it would fit our bow better.

Hi there.. thanks very much for getting back to me. Unfortunately (well, it's actually good but a little awkward for this decision) our boat is in Mexico and I'm in BC, Canada. I'm hoping to learn from someone else, if the Rocna 33 will fit the Cat. 34 bow. Thanks very much for your feedback.

Hi Stu,

I see you have SV Aquavite #224 (1986). We have recently acquired #128 (1986). She was named "Wild Goose" out of Ventura... she is now SV Shannon's Spirit, Canadian Registered, and presently located in the Sea of Cortez. Nice to meet you. CJ

I put a Ronca 15 (Kg) on my 1985 Catalina 34. It fit fine on the roller, and was a great anchor.
