Repalcing Teak Handgrabs

Happy New Year!

I'm considering removing and or replacing (after refinishing ) the teak hand grabs on my older Catalina 25... Any pointers, or suggestions for removal and or replacement?

If I choose to install new, how is the gentle curve accomplished?

When you remove them, in order to avoid knocking the bungs out of the top, only push up from below on the screws, not the bolts, after you remove the acorn nuts from the bolts.

They come straight, the curve is how they get reattached. I've avoided ever taking mine off, others do all the time.
