Hi,
I have a Hunter 320 and the raw water strainer is located under the bed. I would like to relocate it where the head intake is and vise versa. Did anyone relocated their raw water strainer? would this cause any issues on the head pump or the motor cooling system?
Let me know if anyone did this or relocated the strainer somewhere else

thanks
Michel

We have the raw water strainer and the A/C strainer and pump under the aft berth of the h320. While it is not the easiest place to work for cleaning the strainers I find the thru-hulls being centered at the bottom of the hull will insure there is adequate water flow when motor sailing. Curious about your reason for wanting to relocate.

Hi Benny

The main reason is for ease of access. Have to go under the bed each time I leave to close the valve and open it is not practical.

Oh no! More raw water. The angst returns! Sorry. Inside joke. Another thread....
