Hi all
Raced our 1990 Hunter 35.5 in a distance race this past weekend, had a great time, good crew. Ran into a lightning storm Sunday night between Wilson NY and Niagara
It was a great opportunity to see how the boat matched up against other boats.
Our boat is "Relentless" https://yachtscoring.com/event_results_detail.cfm?Race_Number=1&eID=2990
Check out the scoring

Very good showing. At least the weather was not too bad this year. Seen many bad storms and carnage in that race.

BTW, our favourite anchorage is Shawanaga Isl and in fact here right now.

No carnage, little scary but there isn't much you can do when these lightening storms pop up except sail as hard as possible.
Shawanaga was the name of my last boat, it was an Aloha 8.2 I bought from a guy who moved to Meaford. That's where I first saw it. He named it after an Indian band

Ah ok. Makes sense. Shawanaga Reserve is on main land just north of Parry Sound. Shawanaga Island and Shawanaga Inlet is close by on Georgian Bay. The Isl is crown land hence no cottages and a great place to anchor.

Yes he said it was near Perry Sound. We liked the name, he said it meant Fly Like an Eagle
It's funny I bought that boat in Meaford in 1994 and I bought our 35.5 in Penetanguishene in 2015
Great place to find boats.
