I just brought a MacGregor 26X with Yamaha 50HP outboard
I noticed the 'Rudder to engine linkage bar' threaded section is bent.
Also when the motor is tipped to lift the prop you can see scratch marks on the hull.
So I'm 90% sure the bar should be straight & has at sometime in the past accidentally been bent. But I want to be 100% sure. Am I correct in thinking it should be straight ?
I attach a photo of it on boat & off boat.
