I was able to use the original 1980 era foam pads, but that brown covering had to go. Itchy. The vinyl in the cockpit didn't breathe, was stained and uncomfortable. All of the foam was in great condition. No mold, still firm. I had a local upholsterer do my work as my sewing skills are not as good as some on this forum. Used higher end Sunbrella and it will last another 20 - 30 years (probably longer than the boat). They made a tiller cover and lifeline covers as well. Looks sharp (IMHO).
