P-18 Forestay shackle recommendation needed

    I need to purchase a shackle to connect the turnbuckle to the forestay chainplate on my 1985 Precision 18.

    Any recommendations are appreciated. The mounting point hole on the chainplate isn't that large and it needs to be simple to lock in during mast raising.

    @ghandif15 You might give the company a call.
    If you know what it looks like you likely can find one at a local chandler/marine store. Look in the sail hardware area. Ronstan, Wichard, Garhauer, and Schaefer Marine all make good sail boat hardware products.
    Most stay to forestay plates use a pin fitting.
    Something like this.
    The pin gets locked.
    Not knowing the type of fittings you have on the stay (end of the turnbuckle) and the deck plate. picking a specific fitting that can work is impossible.
    That is why we always suggest an image of what you have and want to solve is needed to get you a best answer.
