MY MAX RPM IS 5200...SHOULD BE 6200
MY MAX SPEED BALLAST OUT IS 16 KNOTS...I'VE HEARD PEOPLE SAYING THEY GET 24MPH
ANYONE COULD DIRECT ME TO THE RIGHT PROP SIZE FOR 26M 70HP 4 STROKE YAMAHA ?
(STILL FREEZING HERE IN CANADA...BUT SPRING IS COMING!!!)

16 knots equals approximately 18.4 MPH. Yes, you are likely a little over propped. How is the engine performing at idle speed, is the boat speed too high? Not attaining max RPM and high boat speed at idle are signs of too much pitch. A lower pitch would also provide faster acceleration but too low could allow the engine to over rev which is not good. Talk with a Yamaha dealer to see which size prop they would recommend and perhaps allow you to test one or two before final purchase.
