Hi there,

I have just had my genoa repaired and re-installed on the roller curler/forestay. I note this triangular metal thingy....never seen one before...any ideas on what it is?

Thanks!
Sean

It's a "feeder" to facilitate raising a folded (or stacked or whatever) sail and getting it aligned with the slot.

Sg, thanks a ton~! Since I have only had boats with hanked on sails, I am a novice at roller furling systems. Much appreciated!

My view: If you change a sail alone it is very helpful. If you change a sail under way, it can be helpful. If you don't do that, it's just another thing.

It won't hurt anything to leave it alone.
