We should Cross over to BC on Sunday. We plan to visit places we haven't been plus Montague Harbour. Possibly as far north as Nanimo. We need to be back in the States the following Sunday morning.

Anyone up for a meet up?

    Ken

Ken, nice meeting up with you and Joann. Have a good trip. BTW, we croseed the north end of Jones Is and there was a 40ish sailboat next to rear shore lying on its side. The wrong side. Hard to see how that could happen. That boat isnt going to float without a lot of help...

Sure thing, let's start with when & where. I've got some boat work tomorrow and provisioning on Sat & Sun, should be ready to depart Maple Bay for wherever on Monday.

Mark, maybe the super low tides at o'dark thirty confused him when he anchored at high water?

Well, the minus 2ft tide was around 0930 this morning. What is baffling is how the boat flopped over with keel pointed up the shore.

If we spend Sunday night at Sydney, where would you suggest? Our plan is to move North or Northeast.

Hit the bakery on Beacon about 1/2 hour after they open.

    Do you have a dinghy?

    Monday Options:
    Otter Bay for a dock
    Annette Inlet for anchoring
    Montague for a buoy

Selby Cove is 2/3 of the way to Montague, and is very quiet and protected except from the North. It gets quite shallow

FYI, for Ken: Selby Cove is right around the corner from Annette on Prevost. Annette is good in all weather because it has a very narrow entrance. I've been to Annette numerous times in my two seasons here.

I'm off to the boat now to clean up today, will check back in late this afternoon.

    @Ken Cross

Otter Bay would be a good place to meet to discuss next steps.

If so, we should check and make reservations for Monday night, unless you're staying in Sidney longer. It's a delightful town, worth seeing by foot.

    Let me know.

If you get bored with each other in Otter Bay, that marina has the best wifi of any marina I’ve been to

We've stayed in Otter Bay before. Nice place. I could see that as a stop.

Otter Bay, sure. We may not make Sidney however. We're thinking of a dark place tomorrow night for the meteor shower.

I just made a reservation (for me) at Otter Bay for Monday, the 13th.

Their phone is 250-629-3579 Open to 6 today, 0830 tomorrow morning.

    Give 'em a ring.

    See you then.
