No girly-girls. No women is a different statement.

My daughter an I cruised thousands of miles on a boat more spartan that that. Of course, we both enjoyed the change when I bought a cruising cat. We BOTH enjoyed the change.

My new-to-me F-24 is pretty spartan too... and my daughter loves it. It's more fun to sail than the comfortable cruising cat.

But she's not a girly-girl.

the boat name
the tiller
self steering system
solo sailing set up
no saftey gear
no life jacket
decks awash
driving like kids in dinghy
the tiller on the cargo sailer
cargo sailer mizzen sheet tack
crisp sails
that beautiful sound of water lapping a wood hull, like being inside a guitar
vague electronics
passing every boat in sight
NON-self bailing cockpit
running back stays
took me back to my childhood and teenage years on dad's US one design #21

He does seem a bit like a kid that borrowed his dads boat. A little alarming watching those cement bulkheads zip by, seemingly just inches away.

Great sailing footage. Sailing is hard to find in sailing media. My Classic Boat seems to know that and gets it in as part of the story.

Here's a short piece on the Solent. Chock full of sailors.

Nice. The scenery (and boat traffic) shown in the video doesn't look much different than southern New England.
