Typically, those numbers are on a metal band on the starboard side of the stern. You can just see mine on the black strip on the stern.

Welcome to sailing dude! Don't sweat it, I bought a Mac 26 about 3 years ago with absolutely NO prior experience and no local sailing friends. I had to figure out myself how to raise the stupid mast!!! Oh the things I did in my first year of sailing (all wrong)! Anyway, this is an awesome forum, way good folks who have given me excellent help at times. My experience with our 26 is that Macs are easy to tow, easy to set up, and fun to sail.
