Neutral Safety Switch Location Westerbeke 21

Having to replace the engine wiring harness on my Westerbeke 21. Anyone know where the neutral safety switch is located? I cannot find that sucker anywhere, even in the parts manual (on the wiring diagram yes, but not where it is physically located). Thanks.

why do you think you have one?? I don't on my universal M25 -- if there is one and its not down by the transmission - look up by the shift levers..

Its on the schematic and there is a wire running from the starter to the harness and then who know where. I'll probably find it when I pull the old harness off.

it would need to be right near the trans linkage by the trans or in the shifter box.

shift safety has to be on the pedestal. Look on the back side of the shift/throttle lever(s) for a set of wires. They will run to the ignition (start terminal) or the pushbutton start switch to interrupt the circuit if you try to start in gear. With that said most boats have them but they are not connected.
