part #1500044 west marine is 299 and defender is 214.

Many years ago I replaced the original SS muffler on the 2QM15 in my 1980 H30. As far as I know, the SS muffler is no longer manufactured, but a Primex fiberglass replacement can be purchased from Marine Mufflers, part Number MC2. Call 407-886-1144 (this is an old number - hope it still works).
