Main furling line question

on my 41 the main furling line is an endless loop. Is that correct?
How do you call that join in english so i can do a serch on youtube how to do it.
You cannot see the joint on my line, and as been wrongly updated with a bigger size line so i does not run very well tru the pulleys, it will become stuck and jump of the winch that is below of the boom.
What tipe of line work better in this case?

End to end splice.

It is a continuous loop. If it is newly made, the splice very well may stretch a little with some use and then go through easier. If not, justsomeguy nailed the splice.

Ive replaced mine twice. Google Selden continuous loop. They have a one page diagram and instructions. Takes a bit of practice but not very difficult.
