Looking at a 27

I'll be taking a long hard look at a late 80's 27 in a few days. Anyone know of specific areas I should be concerned with? Was planning to focus on any possible deck delimitation, engine condition, areas around the compression post, transom and hull/keel joint.

Also, anyone have a good sense as to how well this boat can point in moderate wind (10-12 true) with such a shallow keel?
