Trying to decide. Sucia or Point Roberts. Will discuss over breakfast.
Interesting choice to make. Considering the low temps, I’d probably try for harbor at Point Roberts; default to Sucia if poor conditions prevail toward Destination.

Not really pushing to Pt Roberts gets us a full day ahead of schedule. Sucia is gives us short day tomorrow or long yay if we push to Vancouver and get in a day ahead.

You could also drop into a mooring on Cypress Island. Cypress Head is protected from all directions except north and Eagle Harbor is protected from all directions except southeast.

I knew I am good for something.
At least you are not paid for being GOOD.
Then you would be...

Good for Nothing!
______
I was worried why you weren't moving, after seeing the nearby street named...

Torpedo Road! :yikes:

Talk about keel damage...

:wow3:

Last night's low in Vancouver was really close to the all time low for the day. The 80 year record for the 5th Feb is -8.9°C (16.0°F) (1949). Yesterday's low at YVR was -8.2°C (17.2°F).
Burrrr.

Talked to them earlier this morning. Both doing well. Plan to transit Swinomish Channel and then Fossil Bay dock on Sucia for tonight. Wind on the nose. Tomorrow will head for Pt. Roberts.

At the moment appears they are in the channel south entrance and coming up on the gorge, or as John would say, hole in the wall.

I hate going up the ditch. It is always D-pass for me. I would have left Oak Harbor by 6:00 and caught a 2 knot current to the pass and dropped into the pass between 9-10. The current would be 6 knot ebb at 9:00 dropping to 5 knots at 10. Roserio is adverse until 2: so hug the Fidalgo shore northward until about 1:00 then head for the middle of Roserio to catch a sleigh ride to Sucia. I never go anywhere without consulting http://deepzoom.com/

@Terry Cox you didn’t warn us they were working on the swinging bridge. Guess it’s position.

I tried to hail them on 13 no response. 10 more donuts the silver tongue John hales them and says 5 minutes and they will be clear. You can see workers truck on right side of bridge.

John saved us hours!!! My hero

How was your current through the ditch? It seems like very time I have gone through there it has been big and on the nose!
