Layout Question

Hi All, I'm new. Just bought a boat, already looking for my next boat. We really liked the layout of the last Beneteau we chartered from the Moorings (BVI). The forward cabin (double berth) had it's own private head and shower. There were 2 (double berth) cabins aft that shared a head.

I'm wondering if anybody knows when they first started making boats with that layout.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Rob

Rob,

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. :)

That layout is usually termed the "Charter" layout. Maximum number of berths in a given hull size. Less easy to find on the "private" market, since most people like less smaller cabins for their own personal boats.

The 423 comes in 2 and 3 cabin layout. They started making this model early 2000
And ended late 2000. Though many new models of different builders will have similar layout. Regarding the 423...... I have the 2 cabin layout which I prefer due to the layout of the galley.
