Hi all, On my C320 mk2 I have an issue with the SWP. When I clean the strainer the pump will not prime itself. I have to fill the strainer with water and then the pump will work. I have replaced the impellor with no difference. Once pumping everything is fine with plenty of volume. Only 330 hours on the motor and I would have thought the pump body should last longer. No obvious wear except the front cover which has some scuff marks and no blockages on the suction side either. Comments, cheers?

Sorry, I completely missed the obvious. Doh. 
Faceplate inside: if it's is the very least bit scored, that would be the place to start looking. Sand it down with fine stuff, or buy a new faceplate. That's what I'd do for starters.

Have since found others with similar issues when air gets into the suction. I tried rotating the cover plate 180 deg but I dont think it was any better. I will get out the wet and dry and a sheet of glass and face off the front cover and order a spare pump from the US. Thanks Stu for the link.
