I love daylight savings time! I cut out of work early yesterday and made it out for an almost three hour sail on Galveston Bay with my First Mate. The wind was out of the North (not our prevailing wind) a steady 11-12 knots with gusts to 20 knots. I sailed with some porpoises for a while. I was single handing, so just sailed with the genoa and it was a beautiful sail.

Its a brand spanking new 139%. I got in October for our annual offshore race. I went down from a 155 to save 2 seconds a mile on my PHRF rating.
By the way, I am so jealous and am living vicariously through your posts!

A 155!?!? Karen and I have just decided that our 143 is just too big. We have what we think is the original jib as a spare, and it's a 110. We are thinking of switching, though we would need a loft to do a few things.

I really liked my 155 it was terrific downwind poled out on a whisker pole. But it was just too old and fragile. My sail maker talked me down to the 139. He supposedly cuts it a little different than a normal 139 to account for our usual 15 knots plus. I like it a lot so far. Be safe!

I have had 3 Golden’s, and we put our last one down last summer. Really sad.

But I could not get my Zoe on the boat, She got car sick and hated the heat...so she did not get on the boat.

I still miss that girl.

I get it. They leave a hole in your heart when they are gone. This one loves the boat, loves the car, and thinks airboats are awesome.
