Hunter 36 propane cylinder

The propane cylinder on my 36' is held in a specially made sealed recess in the deck. For this reason any spare cylinders have to be the same size.

Does anyone know if that cylinder (6lbs) is a standard size? I am having trouble finding any.

But don't want to buy it if it won't fit. I'd measure it and look at the dimensions but amazon size dimensions are often... iffy.

If it's a standard size though, I can buy it and be fairly confident it's correct.

What year 36 are we talking,my 2007 H- 36 has room for 2 small 5 or 6lb not sure and the amazon one looks different

It doesn't look like the one on my former 356. It's too tall for its width. Mine was a standard size that my local propane dealer had. I'm sorry I don't remember the lbs. or dimensions.

In 1980 not many production boats came with propane installations. CNG did not require sealed lockers. Your single cylinder locker is likely a retrofit. See if you can see any markings to indicate the manufacturer and year model of the unit. The 6 lb Worthington tank at West Marine is 22 1/2 inches tall and 6 5/16 inches in diameter. The good thing about Amazon, if it don't fit you can return it. It is about $210 in WM.
