marine travel lift is a local company, i know those guys, see the many version being built.
since 1980 aeolus has been at the old Palmer Johnson service yard. i'm now nu. 1 oldest client.
know all those people.
i don't keep the boats at yacht clubs or marinas, they can be sand traps.
since 1980 i have docked usually with in 100 ft of the travel lift. snake runs the lift an steve assists,
i'm down there every day during the season

I don't know about the H356 but I do know about Hunters from 1980 to 2008 and have assisted in haulouts numerous times on H27, H36, H31, H37, H41's. Hunter hulls are NOT any thinner than typical production hulls IMO for any given year and at certain locations on a hull. I have witnessed straps being 2' from proper locations without any noticeable deformations. I know of NO Hunters that have balsa below the waterline unlike several supposedly premium production boats. It sounds like some 356's may have a issue and I would be surprised if A Hunter builder does not chime in here and say something. Maybe our Olson 34 owner has specific knowledge of the process Warren Luhrs used to build these boats.

Why did I move on to buy a different boat? There were a number of small issues with this vessel. None serious. But, I found a super clean 356.

Thanks John,
always good to know if someone has identified an issue with our 356s. Congrats, you'll love your 356!
