Houseboat, or boathouse?

I recently saw this dwelling in the little village of Horseshoe Beach, Florida. A waitress at the (only) local diner told me the framework was actually scavenged from someone's unfinished boat build, by someone who decided to make it into a ... boathouse?

Well I'm saying Boathouse, because the next hurricane to make landfall on that beach will probably be transforming that into a Boat, followed by a reef...

I can't believe that even remotely meets Hurricane building standards BTW.

Good point. Maybe they get away with it by registering it as a boat!!

I think they are all individually owned. When I saw 5 together, I think it was a meetup on a Holiday weekend.

They are strictly tour boats, they do not provide alcohol. You can rent them or boat seats on them, this is a genius idea!
