Does anyone know the hard over time for a hunter 340. Installing a new ray marine autopilot. Thanks

That’s what it would take for me to buy one. I just don’t think my body could take it.

I've never heard that term before. I'll be real interested in the responses.
Capta, Its the time it takes your AP to move your rudder from hard one side to the other. RAY APs need that input at commissioning if you do not have a rudder sensor.

well almost... the hard over time is the amount of time a given drive unit takes to get you stop to rudder stop. You get to choose and the faster, the more precisely your boat is able to keep a given course. Include a rudder sensor in you install for best results. 67 Dodge power wagon vs. BMW M3.

well almost.
There are a few more "factors" to tune in also, since Raymarine designs their AP for many boat configurations.

I have one set of tuning for 0-6 foot seas and one for 6+ seas.

My rudder will come more out of the water in high seas, and if in low sea state setting, over react.
Jim..

Silly me. I thought it was the extra hours I would have to work to afford an H340.

Don't know the time for your boat, but estimating it is part of the setup instructions for the autopilot. When I set up my EV-100 wheel pilot, it was in the P70 manual.

I input 50% of the possible count. Then went out on the water to test it. Only problem was I had the wires backwards. I wanted to turn left and the boat went right. What a pain.
