H34, it seems I have to remove 2 cars to reef, help

Here are a couple more shots of the jackline .. couldn't hoist the main because of too much wind.. This was the original rig, I think. You can see the bails on the main and the screwed ones on the slides.
In the picture with my fingers in it, you can see the top of the jackline just below the reef ring. It is sewn/spliced into the bolt rope.

Here's another couple of pictures of my old main sail jack lines. I removed the slugs for my mast mate. The po had the slugs between the gromets so not alot of movement. h-34 mainsail.jpg H-34 mainsail reefing.jpg

My main sail has jack lines below the reef points as well.

The way I reef my H34 is by using a Cunningham. I race my boat and racers need to be able to un-reef quickly. If you have a Cunningham led to the cockpit you can just use the hook to hold down the main and never screw around with the mast gate again!
