Going to "The Dark Side"?

One thing about living in a boating town (Annapolis) is we get stories in the newspaper that you might not see further inland. Today's Capital newspaper tells us that the cabin cruiser "Big Dog" that Rodney Dangerfield drove in Caddy Shack is up for sale. It is here in our county. A cool $129K will get you the 60-foot Striker boat. One of 8 made, it is a South Korean, about 1980. The boat was rented to the film company for $5k a week, and the body double that drove the boat got $400 a week. If it makes a difference, the CEO of Striker says this boat is a "piece of junk". I'm not suggesting you "go over", but FWIW, I'm just sayin'.

There's a glowing endorsement if I've ever heard one.

Begs the question, "Did they use a boat double during the films action scenes?"
