genset and engine thru hulls opps

I am the second owner of a 08 41 DS. After a few mishaps we have figured out that my genest and engine thruhulls are crossed. At the base of the companionway in the false bilge where the thruhulls/strainers are located the large strainer marked "engine" actually goes to the genset and the small strainer marked "genset" goes to the engine. We will reverse at the next haulout. Curious if this has happened to anyone else?

I am surprised that the hose and thru hulls are not different diameters for the genset and the engine.

Why wait till you are hauled to switch? Close the fittings and switch. Do agree about the diameter of hose though..... my engines hose is at least a size larger.

Larger for Yanmar smaller for Gen
