I agree with the initial reply about Calder's book. In addition to that there is a Catalina 25 website at www.catalina25-250.org. Catalina also publishes tech notes that might be available and finally sailnet.com maintains mail lists for all kinds or sailboats.

Not Much!

Homer: You will need to get the bottom painted every 2-3 years. Washing the decks and hull each time you use the boat. Annual waxing and polishing. Depending on the finish on your teak this may be monthly to every three years. You outboard should have the oil in the bottom end changed each season and new spark plugs. If you have a four stroke engine you should change the crank case oil each year too. If you are not going to run the engine and use it for more than about 90 days you should recycle your gasoline or add some gas stabilized (like Stabilt (sp?). Assuming you are leaving it in the water year round you should scrub the bottom about every month or two once the water starts warming up (not much growth in winter). I never look at keeping the boat clean as maintenance. Usually wash the boat down every Sat. morning during the sailing season.
