Wow. I like Navionics, I hope Garmin doesn't ultimately make it Garmin-only (though I doubt that).

First ActiveCaptain and now Navionics. Two big acquisitions in one year from Garmin. We’ll see if there’s enough competition left to keep things ok for the users.

On the bright side, maybe now Navionics will have the option of having Active Captain embedded in it. On the down side Garmin owns it all (and Navionics was reasonably priced).

I wonder if they bought it for intellectual property/patents or if they are planning on marketing the product?
