I replaced the original rudder from my O'day 240 this season. It unknowingly obsorbed water last season. I drilled a hole along the bottom to drain it. It drained so slowly I was afraid it would delay my season so I replaced it. I hate to throw it away. If anyone would like it there welcome to it. Pick up only. I live in southern New Jersey.

I wonder if you couldn't leave it in the hot sun and 'bake' it out

It's dry now but my boat went into her slip May 1st. I didn't want to delay my season so I bought a new one from Rudder Craft.

Yes, they make a nice product. They were very thorough, called me a few times to make sure the measurements where correct.

Notice any performance improvement? I also replaced my rudder last season, but got the OEM one from Foss.

I bought the blue water version. It's the same thickness as the stock. It feels like the boat is a bit faster but not really sure. I did notice less resistance on the tiller.

How did u make out with your tiller pilot?
