Any helpful suggestions for a 3 time BVI charterer and family crew interested in trying an Exumas adventure? How are provisioning options? Restaurants? It seems there are fewer moorings than I'm used to using for an overnight. How reliable are anchorages? Thanks!

The Exumas are beautiful but June/July is their off season. Hot as Hades with light wind unless a hurricane come up. The Exumas are definitely an anchoring area. There are some moorings down near town, at Staniel Cay and at the park at Warderick Wells but you need to be comfortable anchoring and reading the water depth as there is skinny water on the bank. There are many places to anchor (check out Active Captain) but when the wind pipes up from the west is can tough to find a good hiding spot.
