Evening all. Appears my dock lines have walked away while boat has been on the hard. Would have probably purchased new ones any way but now have to for sure. Will be buying two bow two stern and a spring line but could use some suggestions as to length and diameter. Boat will back into slip with pilings at bow. Thanks all.

Length of docklines depends on the on the width and length of your slip. Spring lines should be about a boat length. If you use double braid, 1/2 inch is adequate for the 309. If using 3-strand, I'd go to 5/8. Of course, I'd double the lines in a major storm.

Before you go to 5/8 make sure your cleats can handle that sized line. 1/2 should be more than adequate. You could consider buying a whole spool and making your own lines, either make loops with bowlines or learn to dagnabbit, what's ti called oh yeah, splice 'em. :)
