I would really appreciate feedback and similar experience sharing?
We have fallen in love with a lovely 1990 Hunter 35.5 Legend.
Everything is perfect for us except deck rot and high moisture readings in the decal.
The current owner has just spent $$$$ having a large area of deck repaired, and this seems to have been done well. However, I am getting worrying levels of increased moisture readings in many other areas of the deck. Especially high close to deck intrusions such as stanchion attachments. As well as most of the deck joint line where the rub rail is attached.
Is this usual in 30 yo boat? Is it an easy or expensive fix?
Should I walk away?
