We have a 1992 passage. The windows have pleated curtains. These are held in place top & bottom with a small plastic hook with a small knob. T
he curtains have a string which attaches to these to hold them up or down. Many of ours are breaking any idea where to get some.

Pictures would help. Have you called Marlow-Hunter, or tried the store here on SBO?

I’ve replaced the flat “cord” found on some blinds with “heavy duty” flat un-waxed dental floss. This works for a season or two before others need to be replaced. Normal string would either bunch and bind or was too big for the bobbin. You can also try an electronics house. I’ve used flat string to tie bundles of wire together whe making harness in aero space business.
