Alright Peggy, I'm throwing in the proverbial towel. We have a very standard waste setup in the 270 that needs your exorcism. For no apparent reason, the bowl starts burping, as if there's some serious back pressure happening. The vent may or may not be clear, and today it was doing it while the deck fill cap was laying beside the fitting. The hose is clear, I poured a bucket of water down it, and it took it.
How can the system be offering resistance (occasionally) and now burping back to the toilet when the other end of the holding tank is wide open to the air?

Perhaps it's the run from the head to the tank that has some flopping debris in it?

Simple. You're putting liters into a tank that was designed to hold gallons. You need a conversion kit. I'm pretty sure the forum store sells them.

Is the vent loop valve clear on the line? Have you changed the joker valve, maybe its backwards. Maybe its the towel you threw in!
