I have the standard sliding hatch with 4 boards. We have a clasp and padlock for outside lock but when staying aboard would like a simple security lock for inside... we don't want a lock but maybe a stick or bar that keeps the hatch from sliding open. Just wonder is anybody has a pic of a simple solution. Thanks for any ideas.

Wedgit available on Amazon. Its the 18"-25" model glass sliding door lock, not the toys of the same name.

From the photo you can see I installed a cabinet bumper in the middle of the overhead. I drilled a 5/8" hole in the back of the mount for the Wedgit. The retaining clip is screwed to the wood on the back side of the slider. It slips over the bumper and snaps into place. Easy to pull free in an emergency. The only change I may make is to use a proper SS clevis pin instead of the plastic one that comes with the lock. A hard kick could shear that off.

I really like that idea. Simple, inexpensive, and looks to be very effective! 2 thumbs up for that one!!

4 boards? We've only got three on our C310. What year is your C310?

Ours is a 2003 model. I actually have a set of 3 boards also. Maybe the 4 board set we use is after market?

My 2001 has four boards, I assume this was factory for that year? My boards are starting to show signs of wear, can anyone guess the finish that would have been used on them? I would like to refinish them.
Cheers

I lightly sanded ours and put several coats of Cetol satin finish on them. So far it's holding up well and looks nice; not as good as varnish, but way less work!

I did mine with 3 coats of water based Urethane Exterior. 3 years and it still looks new.

Have 3 boards and recently sanded, stained and varnished with about 6 coats of glossy varnish. I expect it to last many years. Sure hope it does.

If the outside sees sun I can't imagine it will last too many years, unfortunately. In the shade or covered, probably. At least that's my experience with varnish.
