The comic strip "Arlo and Janis" has a continuing thread on boats. Today, Janis enjoys that cute "kitchen" down below.

Hahaha... I love irony. So the word relief can also mean a state of being clearly visible or obvious due to being accentuated in some way.

And the absence of the comic in your post is sort of like anti-relief...

Thanks, Ron, Good one. I'm sure the illustrator has seen this, just to get more material:

SILLY NAUTICAL SPELLINGS

Tacho

Tranny

Genny (Why not just spell genoa? Same number of letters.)

Or short for Generator (also silly)

Spinny

Heal - to feel better

Heel - the back of your shoe or boat tilt

:deadhorse:

That dead horse will never heal if you don’t stop hitting it on its heels with that stick.

Windows

Kitchen

Bathroom

Walls vs. bulkheads

Birth vs berth

Bildge vs bilge

Bilge vs bilge pump

Keal vs. keel

Bail and bale: two separate thingies.

yanny instead of Yanmar – like genoa, same # of letters

seams and seems

weather is good whether or not you’re out on your boat (wheather???)

I was through it all, so I threw her out!

Their boats were way over there, so they’re in bad luck.

This is no dought why…

I heard this one yesterday...

A pirate steps into a bar with a helm sticking out of the front of his pants. The bar tender says
"Hey Buddy, do you know you have a wheel sticking out of your pants" The pirate replies

"Arrrrg.. Yes, its driving me nuts"

Clever Jim. Had to read it twice, but then got a belly laugh. Thanks.
