New public photos of Fitzgerald damage. Note her bow bulb, that was the kind of brass knuckle that nearly sank her. She took a 12'x17' hole below the waterline! Repaired by divers prior to dry docking. Cmdr Benson has been relieved for medical reasons. Turns out the impact dumped him outside his cabin and he was clinging to the exterior wreckage seen here when the crew recovered him!
