Chesapeake Bay Sailing and Moorings?

I planning to move to the Lancaster PA area when I retire. It looks like the Chesapeake Bay would be the closest area to sail. I would like to get some recommendations and info on sailing in the area and good places to keep the boat. Looking at the dept chart it looks like it is pretty shallow in the northern areas of the bay closest to where I most likely be. Thanks for any help or info you can provide.

Middle River, west coast, just above Bal'mer, Hon.

I keep my Macgregor 25 in the North East River. Checkout the Hances Point Yacht Club or Bay Boat Works. There is plenty of water there for a Mac!

My vote is Maryland Marina just off Middle River. Lot of Pa. owners. Lots of other options,second Ron's vote for Middle River.

Thank you for all the replies. I will check out Maryland Marina, Northeast River and Hances Point when I am back down in the area. All of them are close to the area I most likely will be living.
