Hi, I have 1983 US Yacht 18 (Buccaneer 18)that has the original line to drop and secure the c/b. It is old and stiff and to drop the c/b to full down, I have to manually pull it down underneath the boat in the water. The rope needs to be replaced and the top of the c/b compartment inside the hull is fiberglass enclosed. Does anyone know how to do this without cutting the fiberglass cap? I have thought about taking everything off the boat, laying it on it's side to try to reach the c/b from underneath. Thanks
