I currently have a CDI Furler on my Compac 16/2 and I'm thinking about buying another CDI w/Ball Bearings. My Compac is a 1986 and I don't know what year the CDI is since it came with the boat when I purchased it in 2009. I do know they didn't start making them until 1988. I also don't know if the CDI on my boat is a FF1 or a FF2. I have found conflicting advice on several websites as to whether or not to get the FF1 or the FF2. That being said, my first question.... Does anyone know for sure from experience which CDI Furler to get for a Compac 16/2? Second question.... Does anyone have the CDI Furler with ball bearings on their boat and if so is it worth the extra money to purchase the one with ball bearings?
