Catalina 25 outboard

Hello,
Would a 6hp Sailpro with a high thrust prop be enough power for the Cat 25 with a fin keel?
Not looking to set a speed records, just move the boat adequately.

It depends on the conditions where you sail. I had a 5 hp Honda on my Cat 25 and at times it was a challenge to overcome strong winds and waves. Bought a new 8 hp and it was a huge difference. This was on an inland lake however so I also didn’t have to contend with currents. 10 hp is generally considered about the upper limit for several reasons— mainly hull speed and weight.
