Best prop for First 32S5?

Wow David, thank you for that perspective. I didn't think about prop walk, noise, and especially turbulence and the effect on rudder control. All convincing things I will consider. Do u have any fears of that prop Not opening when u need it in reverse? Have u ever heard of that issue with the FOF? Thanks for time in answering my questions. Cheers Danny

We're not in a high fouling area so we aren't too worried about it getting stuck. I don't think I've seen any actual reports of a FOF failing to open, but some speculate that it could be an issue. Most of what I've read about the FOF talks about reverse being weaker, and I have noticed that, but nothing that a few extra RPMs can't compensate for.

The only way a folding or feathering prop will fail to open or reverse is if it's damaged, excessively worn or heavily fouled. All problems for which the owner is responsible. Take care of your prop and it will take care of you.
