    Hi!

How big is the space on a hunter 33 2009for the battery bank? What kind of battery can we put in?

    Is there any pics?

    Thanks.

I have 3 batteries under my starboard settee, two group 27s and one group 24. The boat was originally equipped with two batteries. Three is a tight fit, but by rotating my larger batteries 90 degrees I was able to make it work.

    Hi Jeff!

That’s a good article. I never realise the importance of the orientation of the battery.

I will thing about it if i do not go with AGM.

Good point. Rotating my batteries actually corrected the orientation issue described in that article.

I have 4 Group 31 in the starboard settee in the aft compartment and 1 start battery in the forward compartment. The area is not tall enough to fit golf cart batteries so went with the 31's at 130 ah each. Start battery is for emergency reserve only.

Ok, so grey matter ain't quite what it used to be. 3 group 31's in aft compartment and 1 31 and start in forward. Drilled a hole thru to run cables for series.
