Anyone been out on Lake Anna? What's the do's and dont's? I live in Washington--Is it worth the drive? I haven't done any lake sailing.

I have never sailed on Lake Anna, however have power boated many, many times. The lake is very beautiful. Lots of lake front property, and it is developing more every year. Plenty of marina's and anchorages. It was built to cool the nuclear power plant, and that is of no concern. It is well marked, and safe. They basically flooded farm land through louisa county. So they have boat ramps which use to be roads. And fences that go into the water. But it is still fairly safe indeed. About sailing.... There are alot of trees, and the mountains aren't that far west, so the breezes may be unpredicable and varying. I suggest a day trip down there to see for your self! Try an online search. or the link! Good luck
