We have one, or a pair, that frequent the creek where our slip is. They sit on a tree branch close to the shore. They drop down and hit the water going after baitfish. They rarely miss.
I've had tired birds land on my boat for a rest but one time about ten miles from any land a bat dropped in for a visit. That was a first.
