I am considering the purchase of a used Hunter 18 that seems to have the cutout in the bow for the retractable sprit but no sprit. Anyone know if I will be able to purchase an OEM or aftermarket sprit?
Thanks
Mike

There is not much magical about these setups, they all look and act the same. The key details you will want to know is:
The OD and length of the aluminum pole used.
What they used for gasket/stops on the pole.

Every thing else can be fabb'ed. The pole out line is simply attached to the inside aft end of the pole, and run FORWARD to a block on the forwardmost bulkhead, and then back to a cleat or clutch in or near the cockpit. The tack line runs across the deck to the pole end, and also pulls the pole in.

The gaskets you could probably also just make out of starboard.

Thanks Jack! BTW I noticed you have a Bayfield location so "Go Pack" :)
Ha! The only think good about a Packers game is it's a great time to drive back to the twin cities. No cars at all on the roads. Even cops.

Is the 18 the newer fiberglass boat? See if they have it here at the forum store. Hunter set up the forum as the retail sales some years back and now is owned by a former Hunter employee who use to do retail sales at Hunter.
