Add Electric Winches 36/356

Has any body added jib electric winches the ones next to the helm to your
H-36.
I am thinking of adding electric winches at the helm and wondering if they fit
where my regular winches are and is there room to fit under in rear bedroom and port side large cockpit compartment.

Nick: In 2003 when I bought my boat, I looked for electric winches but couldn’t find any that would fit within the space we have. I have wondered since if someone hadn’t come up with a winch motor that would sit right under the winch. Hope you find some.

Thanks Jerry and only thinking the jib helm and had back surgery
about 3 weeks and will try checking to see if a fit is possible.
My wife might scream at me so will hope.

Did you look into the rear helm jib winches to fit electric winches.
My winches are right under my arch mounting.

How about an electric winch handle? I've never used one, but it might be a cheaper solution.

I have been looking into the portable electric winch but I think the winch rite looked like many guys had problems with it.
Another friend way back said he uses a makitada right angle drill 18 volt unit but he past away
and so can’t get a reiview.
I will be looking at the Lewmar winch bogo sale and looking to see if they will fit and also
I want to see if I will see if I can use these winches for all my halyards like the inmast furling line
and the out haul line.
My 110 jib is not all that bad so before I spend $$$$$ I want full use of these winches.
