By pure luck I found a swivel tv mount that would take my flat screen from the berth around the corner to the salon. The mounting screws went into the brass clock and barometer so they worked like large washers. Anyone interested in detail let me know and I will post them.

Well this modification seems far too simple to me.....If I did this I would miss pinching my fingers on the old bracket.

Now that you posted this this whatever looks like thing, I will now be spending time looking at TV brackets for a while.

The mounting bracket is a RocketFish 19 to 39 TV wall mount full motion, part number RF-HTVMMAB, see picture. The tv, I think, is a LG 24" white smart tv. Check measurements. Also, I had to cut a piece of 1" thick piece of wood the size of the mounting base and put it between the wall and the bracket. Next time I'm at the boat I will take more pictures. Both were bought at Best Buy.

Its a sailboat, why do you need a television? I've owned Amazing Grace for 2.5 years, and have turned the TV on once, just to see if it worked. I think the admiral turned it on once while she was re-arraing things (which is why I cannot find anything!).

Yes, I agree, this is a snarky post. Please accept my apology!

Well, I am going to ask a question that I and everybody wants to know............did the TV work?

I just visited a forum member who bought a new motor mansion that has FOUR TVs. One is for use outside, and one is mounted over the windshield- I guess to take your mind off your driving. And to think The Man doesn't want you to use a cell phone!?

The TV works. It is a smart tv so when we are in our slip we watch internet tv through the provided wireless. I love to watch the sailing clips on you tube.
