Guys,

I love my windward sheeting traveler. Yes it was expensive, but I was able to get many of the parts on sale, but it still set me back a ton. The main advantage is that you are pulling from car and it releases automatically on lee side. Like Blase I have gotten rid of the lengthy mainsheet arrangement in favor of a Harken six and three to one mainsheet. Pull both lines you are pull with a 3:1 advantage. Pull one or the other and you have a 6:1 advantage. Kinda expensive stuff which makes sail handling fun

I cut 2" holes with a hole saw for every bolt. You can't put the nuts on outside the liner because it is not flush with the underside of the deck. Every bolt is backed with a 2" fender washer. Can't be seen unless you stick your head under and look up. We really load the boat up with a big headsail and have not had any problems. They do need to be R & R'ed every few years to be re-caulked.
